Why Sugar Hair Removal?

 

Body sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal using a completely natural paste made from lemon, sugar and water. The paste is molded onto your skin against the direction of the hair growth, then quickly flicked off removing unwanted hair, and exfoliating dead skin cells. This ancient hand technique allows for the hair to be extracted in the direction of it’s growth meaning less breakage which causes ingrown hairs.

It’s more sanitary and cost effective because there are no sticks or strips to discard. After your service, the paste and gloves are discarded and you are left with beautifully smooth skin. Candidates for sugaring are all skin tones and skin types, anyone susceptible to razor bumps, ingrown hairs and wax sensitivity. Ladies with facial hair due to hormonal imbalances and thinning skin from aging.

Niki started her Sugaring journey in 2014 when she was introduced to the process while working in a Wellness Spa by a Middle Eastern Esthetician. What Niki discovered was how the skin on her female client's facial hair responded. Sugaring was not only gentle but also refines and diminishes the hair growth. This inspired Niki to want to spread the word to the western world to Estheticians and Cosmetologists by becoming an Educator with Tamara's Professional Body Sugar.

The benefits of adding Sugaring to your menu as an alternative for clients that are wax sensitive. Sugaring is less irritating to the skin, reduces ingrown hair issues and helps to diminish hair growth. Sugar Paste is all natural (lemon, sugar, and water) and is only heated to the body's temperature so there is NO chance of burning or lifting the skin. It does not adhere to the skin and is easily removed due to being water-soluble and not resin based. It is easy to clean off clients, sheets and floors. It is cost effective and environmentally safer because there are no strips or sticks to throw away, simply wrap the ball of sugar into your glove and discard.

Before the Basic Class

Your must register for your account with Tamara Professional Body Sugar to purchase your kit and receive the online theory prior to the class date. When registering your account put the address you want future orders to be sent. The student kit is sent to the educator.

The Online Theory will be sent by email within 48 hours and needs to be completed prior to the class date in order to have more time to focus on technique. It is recommended to watch the video twice, the first time for the information and the second to write down questions to be answered in class. Your certificate will not be issued if the online theory is not completed prior to the class date.

It is recommended that each student comes with at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch hair on as many hair filled areas as possible for student to student practice.

Each student must supply a model. The model must register for the class time slots. Time availabilities are 1-3pm and 3-5pm. CLICK HERE to register models by sending their full names, email address, areas to be sugared and time available.

Finger nails should be no longer than 1cm of free edge, long nails make it nearly impossible to sugar.

Please also wear a short sleeve/sleeveless shirt, loose fitting pants, and comfortable shoes.

Be photo ready for pictures taken with your certificate.

Class Tuition

Basic Certification Rate | $499 per person

*limited to 2 students in Texas, limited to 2 students in Oklahoma, limited to 6 students in Antigua and Barbuda. Students must have a Cosmetology or Esthetics License.

Class must be paid in full or $100.00 deposit to reserve your space, with the balance due 24 hours before the first day of class.

Deposits are non-refundable, the student can attend the class at a later date but the deposit will be forfeited.

Purchase Your Student Kit

The kit must be purchased at least (14) days prior to the class date in order for you to receive your kit in on time. The Large SIGNATURE Kit ($275) is recommended, as it comes with a free warmer. If your kit does not arrive before the class date there will be a $50.00 fee plus postage to send it to your address.
